Sister Sanctuary
Sister Sanctuary – Interdependent Living
Sister Sanctuary offers a supportive, trauma-informed home for women veterans recovering from MST and PTSD. Residents enjoy privacy and autonomy while participating in a close-knit, self-led community. Interdependent living means sharing responsibilities, supporting one another, and practicing skills for independent life in a safe, structured environment.
Our on-site office is available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with staff support in the mornings from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM to provide guidance and resources as needed. Residents lead the home during off-hours, practicing self-policing and leadership skills.
Each sister contributes to household routines, communal meals, and peer leadership, creating a space where trust, respect, and empathy guide daily life. Special features include the Quiet Room, a low-sensory space for self-regulation, and the Resident Leader program, which empowers residents to take on leadership roles and build real-world skills.
